Teatro Aperto del Cervo proposes the reuse and refurbishment of an ancient wool factory into a theater and a small restaurant along Cervo river, close to the center of Biella, Italy.
The partial demolition of the hangar built in the seventies allows the construction of a wooded park and a square at the street level. Located in the nineteenth-century volumes of the mill, the theatre can be used as a closed winter auditorium or, once that all the big industrial doors towards the square are open, as an outside space for summer performances.
Teatro Aperto del Cervo converses with Fondazione Sella and Fondazione Pistoletto, taking part of the cultural renaissance that has been rising in the last decades along the Cervo river.
The French/Swedish Gallery Desplans recently added our three images printed on silk to its art and architecture collection.
